DATA CENTRE – ‘EQUINIX SG2’, AWARDS | 2010 Dec

International players are expanding their data centres in Singapore because of its pro-business environment and track record in technology adoption. The latest of these is global data centre services provider Equinix, which has announced the opening of its second International Business Exchange (IBX) data centre.

Located in the western part of the island, the US$45 million first phase of the Singapore-2 (SG2) IBX centre, will increase Equinix’s data capacity in the Singapore market with 700 additional cabinets. With its Phase 2 expansion, the SG2 centre will eventually have a total capacity of 1,700 cabinets over close to 11,000sqm.

Monoflo pumps have been trusted to provide the chiller pumps to circulate chilled water to cool the cabinets in the data centre. 10 numbers of KOMPACT Horizontal Split Cases will be installed in the chiller plant which is a critical installation.
